Doctors and their patients aren’t working together as well as they could. Healthcare would improve substantially if patients prepared for their meetings with healthcare workers, doctors didn’t make too many assumptions about their patients, and if both were listened to each other more carefully. So, how do we get the whole Netherlands, both doctors and patients, to start communicating more clearly, ultimately leading to better treatments?
Show how easy it is to start meaningful conversations between doctors and patients. Simply open with the words you’d say to start any conversation: “hello”. To highlight this, the campaign is framed as a dialogue between patients and healthcare professionals. Together, they offer many practical tips, so ‘deciding together’ becomes much easier in the consulting room.
To showcase this crucial dialogue, and to prove that both participants are equal, real healthcare providers and real patients (aren’t we all?) are portrayed in profile. In photography, so that the hundreds of pointers could be humanised with a face. And in film, in which hours of real conversations were cut into a TVC and dozens of social and short videos.
