Problem
Hours of talking about the weather, unsolicited dickpics and ignored messages. These are the miseries of modern daters on their quest for love. But brand-new dating app Breeze promises to get rid of them, by moving past the swiping and chat function in their app. So how do you convince singles that Breeze is not ‘just another dating app’?
Solution
By showing people that Breeze crushes all the reasons why they hate online dating in the first place. To do that, we collected dating taboos and translated them into emojis, such as an aubergine for dick pics. Then we blew them up with a bang, clarifying that Breeze aims to eradicate these things from the dating process.
Creative
Dating can be stressful enough, which is why we kept it playful by embracing the ambiguity of fruit in a dating context. By photographing a peach, eggplant and ghost, in a way that they mimic emojis, in real life, we took something online offline. In the same way the Breeze app does.
