Like every year we helped the Dutch Kinderboekenweek (Kids Book Week) with their annual communication. This year it’s all about the grandparents because grandparents often play a big role in children’s reading experience. They’re the hero of the story in the book or they are the ones reading it to them.
Although your grandparents might be a bit dusty, have grey hair, a walking stick and lots of wrinkles, we think they’re awesome. They’ve been on many adventures and have seen a lot of amazing things that they can tell you all about. So this years theme is: forever young! Because when it comes to stories there is no such thing as being old.
We asked Maricar & Maricor to do the illustrations, because we know that grandparents like embroidery a lot. And so do we.
