Although our politics have fallen hopelessly behind in terms of supporting a greener Holland, Dutch citizens are doing their bit to fight climate change every day. They travel by train, insulate their homes and eat less meat. KesselsKramer developed a campaign for Greenpeace in which everyday Dutchies make a deal with Prime Minister Mark Rutte. They will continue to contribute toward a better environment, but they expect him to do the same.
Mark Rutte made some lofty promises during the Climate Summit in 2013 but The Netherlands disappointingly low score on the Climate Change Performance Index 2015 proves that he has failed to bring these promises to fruition. Instead of protesting the Dutch have chosen to inspire him to put his money where his mouth is and help him to prepare for the next Climate Summit later this year.
