Red Stripe’s Make art on the street project took the form of localised installations with UK wide appeal, thanks to multi-platform programming. We worked with Edinburgh artist Spaceboy for this piece on on the shutters of a working fish market in Edinburgh. We then partnered him up with animation crew Blac Ionica, to create a stop motion animated story of Spaceboy’s shutter art and inspired by Red Stripe’s origins. TheRed Stripe acts as the literal storyline as the animation/street art explores the DIY recording scene of 1970’s Jamaica.
