A Christmas campaign for Novib, a charity organization that is part of Oxfam International, shows potential holiday gifts. The featured gifts are accompanied by a price tag and the appropriate price of a charitable donation for people in need in crisispoints around the world. Each poster carries Novib’s theme, ‘How big is your world?’
In the run up to Christmas, every brand and charity is fighting for attention and for money. Novib, the development NGO, needs to grab awareness and funds as well. This is done using the ‘How Big is Your World?’ theme. Store till receipts are used to relate the high costs of Christmas with the very low costs of helping someone less fortunate than yourself. These receipts become huge posters on the street, in shoppingcentres and as inserts in magazines mailed to homes.
The contradictory and provocative message for Novib during the crisis that the people of Afghanistan were forced through continues on flyposters and asks the public to head to Novib’s website, learn more and donate.
