Race For The Prime Minister

On behalf of merry pranksters, Paddy Power, we saw an opportunity to tie in the General Election campaign with the London Marathon. Four athletes took the dubious honour of running as Cameron, Miliband, Farage and Clegg, with their likenesses formed in giant papier-mâché heads. Each runner wore a Paddy Power ‘Race for PM’ shirt with their respective odds. Apart from gaining an avalanche of social media responses, the four political leaders entertained (and frightened) the audience along the full 26.2 miles. Miliband was first out of the four in the race – we wonder if that’s an omen for the real Election results on the 7th May 2015.
